What is a Nutrition & Health Coach, and how is that different from a nutritionist or dietitian? A Nutrition & Health Coach focuses on practical, everyday habits, food, sleep, stress and movement, rather than clinical diagnosis or medical treatment. We don't diagnose or treat medical conditions; our sessions are educational, helping pupils, parents and staff build realistic, lasting habits. Where a medical issue is involved, we'll always recommend speaking to a GP or registered dietitian.
Where are you based, and how far do you travel? We are based near Thirsk in North Yorkshire. Travel is included within a 15 mile radius for school sessions, and we work with families across North Yorkshire, with travel further afield considered on request.
Do you work with schools, families, or both? Both. We partner with schools on whole-school wellbeing programmes, and work directly with families through one-to-one coaching at home or online. See our Programmes for Schools and Programmes for Parents & Families pages for details.
What age groups do you work with? From Reception through to Sixth Form in schools, and with children of any age through family coaching, always working with, not around, parents and guardians.

What does a typical school session look like? It depends on the age group. Younger pupils (EYFS to KS1) get hands-on, playful sessions, think food sorting games and craft. Older pupils (KS4 to Sixth Form) get more direct, exam-focused sessions on stress, nutrition and confidence. See our sample session menu for a full breakdown by key stage. All seminars, workshops and programmes are delivered in person at the school. Travel fees may apply.
Do you run workshops specifically on exam stress? Yes. Our Stress Busting and Fuel to Perform sessions are built specifically for KS4 and KS5 pupils, covering breathing techniques, nutrition for sustained energy, and practical tools for managing exam pressure.
Can you deliver sessions for staff, not just pupils? Yes, we run short sessions for teaching and pastoral staff, covering how to recognise signs of stress in pupils and practical, classroom-ready tools, alongside guidance on staff wellbeing.
Do you offer talks for parents as well as pupils? Yes. Our parent seminars translate the same science into practical, at-home strategies, including our flagship talk, "Healthy Body, Calm Mind, Strong Performance."
How much does a school programme cost? It depends on the format, a single assembly, a termly series, or a whole-school partnership all come at different price points. Get in touch and we can share our brochure with further pricing.
How do we book a session or find out more? Start with a free introductory talk, available to new school partners at no cost. Contact us to arrange a date, or to talk through what would suit your school best.
Can sessions be tailored to our existing PSHE curriculum or themes? Yes, every session can be adapted to your year groups, timetable, and anything you're already covering, exam season, a PSHE topic, or an INSET day theme.
Do you cover topics like puberty and menstrual health? Yes. Our Cycle Confidence sessions, backed by specialist training in hormone health, help teenage girls understand their cycle and use nutrition, energy and rest to work with it, not against it, delivered in age-appropriate, non-clinical language.

What does one-to-one family coaching actually involve? It starts with a free discovery call to talk through what's going on and what would help. From there, we offer single focused sessions or an ongoing coaching package, working with your child, you, or both, depending on what's needed.
Is this only for children with a specific problem, or can any family book? Any family. Some parents come to us with a specific concern, fussy eating, low energy, exam anxiety, others simply want a clearer, more confident approach to nutrition and habits at home.
Do sessions happen at home, online, or at a clinic? For families: Within North Yorkshire, we can offer both in person and online, for those further afield, we would divert to a virtual session first unless in person was absolutely necessary. Travel fees may apply.
Is this medical advice? No. We provide general health, nutrition and wellbeing education, not medical diagnosis or treatment. If a medical condition is involved, we'll always recommend speaking to your GP or an appropriate specialist alongside our coaching.
How much does family coaching cost? It depends on whether you choose a single session or an ongoing coaching package. Every new family starts with a free discovery call, so there's no cost or commitment to finding out what would suit you.
What age is my child for this kind of coaching? There's no strict age limit, sessions and language are always adapted to the child's age and the family's situation, whether that's a younger child learning to enjoy new foods or a teenager navigating exam stress.
