A Framework for Whole School Wellbeing
A whole school approach works best when pupils, parents and staff are all speaking the same language around health and wellbeing. Every session, whatever the audience, is built around the same five pillars, so the message stays consistent as pupils move through the school.

Four Ways We Work With Schools
-
Interactive and informative, age appropriate sessions for every year group, Reception through Sixth Form.
Healthy Heroes (EYFS to KS3): playful sessions building the fundamentals of healthy eating, movement and self care through games, storytelling and craft, progressing into more detailed workshops on food choices, hydration and sleep as pupils move through KS2 and KS3.
Fuel to Perform (KS4 to Sixth Form): exam focused sessions on stress, nutrition, sleep and confidence, equipping older pupils with practical tools to manage pressure, sustain focus and protect their wellbeing through exam years.
Cycle Confidence sessions (from age 10 upwards), shifting the focus from purely biological mechanics to practical, “lived-in experience” management. Session can include mapping the whole cycle, nutrition and techniques to improve symptoms.
-
Weekly coaching for a small cohort or year group, going deeper on one specific topic over several weeks rather than a single session.
Small group sizes, so pupils get real airtime and space to talk, not just a lecture
One focus per programme, exam stress, confidence, nutrition and energy, whatever the group needs most
Works particularly well running up to exams, giving pupils a consistent space to build and practise tools before the pressure peaks
-
Evening talks that bring the same science home, in practical, everyday language.
Helping parents recognise stress in their children
Understanding the nutrition performance link
Supporting healthy routines outside school

1 hour group sessions for teaching staff focusing on staff's own wellbeing and resilience. The 'Micro-Habits for Macro Stress' Workshop: A fast-paced, interactive group coaching session focusing on managing adrenaline fatigue, surviving rushed lunch breaks, and switching off at the end of the day.
The Evidence
Nearly two GCSE grades
Students who rarely eat breakfast score on average 10 points lower across their GCSEs than those who eat it regularly, a gap of almost two full grades.
University of Leeds85%
85% of UK students say they experience exam anxiety and 71% of students have not sought any help for managing their anxiety.1 in 5
The Mental Health of Children and Young People in England 2023 report, published today by NHS England, found that 20.3% of eight to 16-year-olds had a probable mental disorder in 2023. Among 17 to 19-year-olds, the proportion was 23.3%, while in 20 to 25-year-olds it was 21.7%.Only 51% of children eating breakfast every weekday
The nutrition-cognition link is well established in principle - poor diet and skipped meals, are consistently associated with reduced concentration, working memory and classroom performance.
